We understand that visiting a church for the first time can be an intimidating, and sometimes confusing experience. We hope that we answer some of your questions or concerns below. And, please, don’t hesitate to contact us at any time! We are here for you!
I’m not a Lutheran. Can I still come to your church?
Yes! We welcome anyone and everyone into our family of faith regardless of denomination, race, age, social status or sexual orientation. All are welcome. We invite all baptized believers in Christ to share in Holy Communion with us.
What should I wear?
Feel free to wear whatever you are most comfortable in. You will notice people dressed casually, in business casual, as well as in suits and dresses.
Is the building wheelchair/handicap accessible?
Yes, it is. Most of our campus is ground level with ramps leading to each building.
What is the Worship Service like?
We are an ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) church. We have one Sunday morning service at 10:30 am that lasts about an hour. First-time visitors are asked to stop by our Visitor’s Center for a gift! The music is a blending of traditional and contemporary hymns supported by our Music Director and Choir (our Choir sings from September-June). Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join our pastor at the front of the church about ten minutes into the service for a Children’s Message. A free-will offering is collected about midway through the service. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday.
I have small children. Is there a Nursery?
Yes! Our Nursery is staffed each Sunday morning. There are always 2 adults in our Nursery at all times.
I have more questions. Who can I call?
Please feel free to contact us any time in the church office at 813-877-3105.
