You may not be alone in asking, “What is WELCA and why should I get involved?” Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is a women's group that is much more than the ladies staked out in the kitchen or the organizers of annual church quilt drives or a monthly coffee clutch.


Here at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church we can be proud that our WELCA members are involved at unprecedented levels beyond what their foremothers envisioned before them. We are a diverse group of mothers, grandmothers, sisters and daughters that have found a common purpose in serving our church and causes that we collectively have deemed important.

All women of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church are encouraged to visit a circle and become more involved in the fellowship of women in this church. We have lively discussions on Bible topics and share refreshments as well as ourselves. If you are wondering where to begin, please contact one of our circle leaders.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, each of us is important in God's plan to redeem the world, to share the gospel throughout the world. God needs and we need the gifts of every one of us to be about God's mission and to carry out the purpose of Women of the ELCA.
